Schedule for Hold Pickup
For patrons with library cards in good standing, items may be placed on hold 24/7 using our online catalogue. Patrons may send an email to the library (email@example.com) to request a hold. Patrons may also call the library (807-868-2332) during open hours.
Inter-library loan services are available.
Picking up Holds
When your hold is fulfilled, the library will contact you to schedule an appointment for pick-up. On your pickup day:
- Ring the doorbell located to the left of the library door.
All items, with the exception of musical instruments and equipment, can be returned to the book drop, which is accessible 24/7.
Staff will be emptying the book drop and checking in materials on a regular basis. If you are not feeling well and are self isolating, please do not return items. Call the library at 807-868-2332 and we will renew items for you.
The library will also offer phone service for renewing patron privileges and answering questions. Phone service will be available Tuesday-Saturday during opening hours.

Yes, your library card needs to be in good standing to borrow any items from the library. Please call or email the library if you have any questions or issues with your library card.
Can a library staff member help me with Libby /other eResources or computer questions?
Please call or email the library for your digital book and technology questions.
Are faxing, photocopying and printing services available?
When the library is open for in-library visits, there will be fax, printing and photocopying services available.
Can I come in and use the computer?
When the library is open for in-library visits, there will be access to one computer. Please contact the library to schedule an appointment.
Curbside pickup, staffing, phone hours and other services may change at any time during this closure. Updates will be posted on our website and social media platforms as developments occur.
- Returned materials will be returned to the collection as per provincial regulations. The Hornepayne Public Library cannot guarantee the sanitization of library items. Please handle them with caution.
